Cruinniú na Cásca
Get together this Easter Monday, 17th April and celebrate “Cruinniú na Cásca”,in Enniscorthy and Wexford with Wexford County Council, Wexford Arts Centre and Creative Ireland.
At the Athenaeum in Enniscorthy there are free events children and families from 12 to 1pm – Storytelling, Puppetry, Painting, Printing, Creativity & Easter Eggs.
“Cruinniú na Cásca” moves to Wexford Town on Monday afternoon to Wexford Arts Centre. There the Gallery will be open from 2-5pm, hosting “The Living Arts Exhibition” and “Cruinniú na Cásca Cabaret” from 3-4.30pm, a FREE family friendly performance, with an eclectic mix of music and spoken word.
MC Michelle Dooley Mahon will introduce local talent, from the emerging young to the established, in contemporary to traditional arts. Featuring the Ocelots, Rachel Grace, Aileen Donohoe, Pete McCamley, Frantics, Alice Wickham McIntyre and James McIntyre from Craobh Loch Garman Comhaltas, poet Deirdre McGarry with Ed Barker, and the Wexford Folk Orchestra.
Join with your neighbours, friends and visitors to celebrate us, ourselves, our community and the creative talent we have within all of us that make us what we are, and take part in Cruinniú na Cásca this Easter Monday.
