A vibrant five days where Co. Wexford celebrates our famous strawberry “fit for a Queen” … our Strawberry Queen! Strawberry days, like it was in the 60s with freshly picked strawberries and cream are to be devoured whilst enjoying our cultural events such as great music in the Public Houses with the Strawberry Roots music trail, viewing art & photographic exhibitions, and attending literary events sponsored by Focal – Wexford Literary Festival.
The main events, to celebrate our lush, mouth watering strawberry will be hosted in the restored Athenaeum … the historic meeting place for the 1916 Easter Rising as well as location for the Brooklyn Vintage Ball.
Did you know Enniscorthy has been an official Market Town for over 400 years. Markets will be held all festival weekend including the All Ireland Farmers Market showcasing the best market food and craft in Ireland in our historic town.
Regardless of whether strawberries are for you, or whether you are young or old, this Festival is definitely the place to BE!
