1798 Rebellion 220th Anniversary – The Battle of Vinegar Hill on Sunday 17th June on Vinegar Hill

 

 

Location: Vinegar Hill, Enniscorthy

Time: 2:00pm

This event will have a full re-enactment of the battle of 21st June when over 1500 rebels were killed on the hill.  Re-enactors from 44th Regiment and the Napoleonic Society are travelling from England as Redcoats to be joined by Rebel groups from Enniscorthy, Mayo, Monasterevin, Prosperous, Kilkenny, Limerick and Ashbourne.
